Memory Eternal

I learned today that my Grandmother, Emily McQuillen, reposed last night in Indiana. From what we are told, it was from complications from the flu and was very peaceful and painless. She was 94 years old, and had been suffering on and off for the last couple of years. She was a lieutenant in the United States Army and served in both theaters in the second World War. She was an interesting lady, she loved being well dressed and going out, she always had a dignified air about her, and she loved to chat and joke with us grandkids. She raised three children, all of whom are now middle aged with children of their own. She wasn't Orthodox, but she did have the quiet confident faith of years past. If anyone reads this please remember her in your private prayers. May she rest in peace and may her memory be eternal.

  2. Thanks Elizabeth. She had a long full life and was starting to suffer more than a lady her age should have to endure. I am glad that the Lord made this hard time relatively short.
