New Martyrs of Egypt

The Copts are showing true Christian strength in this terrible time, and in the face of awful opposition plan on celebrating the Nativity as planned. This whole occasion makes me wish for a speedy re-unification with the Coptic Orthodox. If ecumenicism has one worthwhile mission in this age, that would be it. It is very sobering to see martyrs continue to be called even in this age of "progress" and "tolerance," and I hope and pray that if the occasion came I would have such faith. We in America who tend to complain about the "war on religion" and how secularists don't take Christmas seriously should look deeply on what the real "war" looks like!
"Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?"
"He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision."
