This icon faces the road, next to the gate. It is about 10 feet or more tall
The original tomb of St. Alexis behind the Temple, with a good view of the domes
The bell tower
The front of the temple, which was the original monastery building and was renovated to be the Temple after the original Temple burned down
The Monastery cemetery, where Fr. Schmemann and other famous Orthodox Christians are buried
The guest house
The desk in my room. The bottom two icons are mine, but all of the rooms have a very nice icon corner. I will post more about my trip later. Sorry for the lack of order for the pictures.

  1. Amazing iconography! I've heard, even from non-Christians who happened upon it, that St. Tikon's is an amazing retreat and the spiritual presence is out of this world. Thanks for sharing!

  2. wow, thanks for the pics! I hope to either attent St. Tikhon's or St. Sophia's in the coming years. St. Tikhon of Moscow is my patron saint, so it's a blessing to see a pic of his relics!

    thanks!

  3. Glad you enjoyed them, I wish you the best with pursuing your vocation. They have a great collection of relics, that by itself makes the pilgrimage worth it.
